This page explains what our website stores in your browser and why. In short: nothing for analytics, advertising or tracking. Everything we store is either strictly necessary for the site to work or remembers a choice you made yourself. The law does not require consent for that, which is why you will not see a consent banner here.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your device. EU privacy law treats both the same way: anything stored on your device needs your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for.
What we store
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pixelhunter-currencyLocal storage · this website | Remembers the currency you picked in the pricing table. Only set when you change it. | Until you clear it |
pht-lang-suggestedLocal storage · this website | Remembers that you answered the language suggestion, so it is not shown again. | Until you clear it |
__cf_bmCookie · Cloudflare | Tells people from bots to protect the site. May be set on some visits. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearanceCookie · Cloudflare | Remembers that you passed a security check. Only set if a check is shown. | Usually 30 minutes |
wordpress_logged_in_* wordpress_sec_* wordpress_test_cookie wp-settings-*Cookies · this website (WordPress) | Keep our staff signed in to the site admin. Never set for visitors who do not sign in. | Session, or 14 days with “Remember me”; wp-settings-*: 1 year |
A visitor who does not sign in gets, at most, the two local storage items (and only after using the currency selector or the language suggestion) and the Cloudflare security cookies. None of them identifies you or follows you to other websites, and the local storage items are never sent to us.
Third parties
We do not load analytics, advertising, social media widgets or video embeds, and our fonts are served from our own server, so no third party sets cookies through our pages. When you choose to try or buy, checkout opens on Polar’s website, and the customer portal is also run by Polar. Those pages have their own cookie policy.
How to manage them
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings, and block them for this website. The site keeps working without them: you will only have to pick the currency again, and our staff will need to sign in again.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before setting them.
